1. Overview

Disco operates an event discovery, ticket purchase, ticket management, organizer communication, and Backstage organizer service.

We collect information to run the service, show relevant events, process transactions, provide support, prevent fraud, maintain security, and comply with law.

We do not sell personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Name, phone number, email, city, language, timezone, and account preferences
  • Disco preferences, interests, saves, reactions, and fit signals
  • Support details, messages, requests, feedback, and privacy requests
  • Organizer-provided information, such as business name, contact details, event details, logos, address, tax or company details, organizer payout details, and accessibility information

Transaction and Ticket Information

  • Events viewed, saved, purchased, claimed, transferred, or checked in
  • Order details, payment status, ticket status, quantities, price, currency, promo codes, refunds, receipts, organizer proceeds, payout status, and financial adjustments
  • We do not store full card details; full payment details are processed by payment providers and acquiring or clearing partners

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device, browser, operating system, and language details
  • IP address, usage data, page views, clicks, errors, performance metrics, and security signals
  • Cookies, local storage, and display preferences such as accessibility preferences

Information From Third Parties

  • Payment providers, messaging providers, email providers, hosting services, analytics tools, and fraud-prevention systems
  • Event organizers, event staff, or other users when information is needed for event operations, transfers, invites, support, or disputes

3. Data Controller

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Disco is the data controller of personal information collected through the service unless stated otherwise.

4. How We Use Information

  • Operate, maintain, and secure Disco
  • Show events, matches, drops, and recommendations
  • Create and manage accounts, profiles, tickets, RSVPs, and transfers
  • Process purchases, payments, receipts, refunds, organizer payouts, disputes, and fraud prevention
  • Help organizers manage events, attendees, entry, communications, and closeout
  • Send verification codes, transaction messages, event updates, service notices, and support messages
  • Measure usage, improve the product, fix bugs, and test performance
  • Enforce terms, protect users, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, and reporting obligations

5. Payments and Payment Providers

Paid purchases and organizer payouts may be processed through PayPlus, UPay, and related acquiring, clearing, banking, or payout partners. These providers may receive information needed to process payments, prevent fraud, verify transactions, handle refunds, manage chargebacks, issue receipts, process organizer payouts, and provide support.

Disco does not store full card details. We may store payment identifiers, statuses, amounts, currency, last four digits, transaction ids, or similar information when available and needed to operate the service.

6. Messaging and Communications

We use contact details to send verification codes, purchase confirmations, tickets, event updates, support messages, service notices, event drops, and marketing messages where permitted.

You may opt out of marketing communications where an opt-out is available, but you may still receive operational, security, purchase, ticket, or support messages.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your information. We share information only when needed to operate Disco, support users, process transactions, comply with law, or protect the service.

  • With payment, acquiring, clearing, banking, fraud-prevention, hosting, email, messaging, analytics, and support providers
  • With event organizers and event staff when needed for attendee management, tickets, entry, support, cancellations, refunds, or disputes
  • With other users when you take a social, invite, transfer, or sharing action that requires information to be shown
  • With professional advisers, authorities, courts, or law enforcement when required or permitted by law
  • In connection with a restructuring, merger, sale, financing, transfer, or due diligence process involving Disco, subject to appropriate protections

8. Data Storage and Security

Application data is stored using Firebase and Google Cloud. Payment, messaging, email, hosting, and analytics providers may store data on our behalf or as needed to provide their services.

We use reasonable security measures designed to protect personal information, but no system is completely secure.

Accessibility and display preferences may be stored in your browser using local storage and do not require an account login.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation, support, security, fraud prevention, disputes, tax, accounting, and reporting.

Retention periods may vary depending on information type, account activity, event or ticket status, legal obligations, and operational needs.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it, or restrict its use according to the circumstances and applicable law.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information by contacting help@joindis.co.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. We may be unable to delete certain information when we need to retain it for security, fraud prevention, transactions, legal obligations, disputes, or legitimate business records.

11. Social Privacy and Event Visibility

Some Disco features may show social signals, such as saves, interest, invites, friends, or attendance, when the feature is available and permitted by your settings and state.

We aim to present social information in a way that respects privacy choices, blocks, friend removals, and visibility limits. Social signals should not be treated as a guarantee that a specific person will attend an event.

12. Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

We may use cookies, local storage, and similar tools to keep preferences, support authentication, improve performance, measure usage, diagnose bugs, and protect the service.

You can control cookies through your browser, but blocking cookies or local storage may affect some features.

13. Children

The service is not intended for users under 18. If you believe a minor provided information contrary to this policy, contact us.

14. International Processing and Transfers

Information may be processed or stored outside your country, including in countries where Disco, its providers, or partners operate.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

15. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where GDPR or similar law applies, we process information based on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and protection of vital interests where relevant.

We comply with Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 1981, and other applicable Israeli privacy requirements where relevant to the service.

18. Automated Decision-Making and Recommendations

Disco uses algorithms to generate recommendations, matches, and relevance signals. These systems are not intended to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

19. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. When a material change is relevant to your use, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the service or available contact methods.
